DALAS, TEXAS – As Africa’s digital payments landscape continues to grow, the demand for robust cybersecurity measures has become increasingly urgent.
Cybercriminals are becoming more aggressive, posing significant threats to the region’s financial systems.
Omotayo Ogunlade, Chief Technology Officer at Onafriq, emphasises that addressing vulnerabilities is crucial to maintaining the integrity of Africa’s digital financial ecosystem.
This as, Africa saw the highest average number of cyberattacks per organisation per week in 2023, with a 23% increase compared to the previous year.
